August 08: Gemini Wins USSOCOM Support Center Contract
On 11 August, Gemini won a new contract to support the United States Special Operations Command Support Center. The effort provides processing, database management, action item tracking and administrative support related to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act information requests.
August 08: Gemini to Support the Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) under the CEOSS Program
On 1 August, Gemini began a new project to provide acquisition, logistics and administrative support to the Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) under the Commercial Enterprise Omnibus Support Services (CEOSS) Program. The Program provides Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the 1300 constituent customers of the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). Support areas include: Strategic Planning for Technology Programs/Activities; Concept Development and Requirements Analysis; System Design, Engineering and Integration; Test & Evaluation; Integrated Logistics Support; Acquisition and Life Cycle Management; Acquisition Logistics; and Support Products.
July 08: Gemini Team Critical to 2007 Air Force Modeling and Simulation
The Secretary of the Air Force Office of Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer recently notified Gemini of the award of the 2007 Air Force Modeling and Simulation Award to the Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System Program and recognized Gemini’s contribution to the Program. The AOC Program fielded the C2 Weapon System Part Task Trainer 4.0, the first AOC simulation capability for 20 AOC sites worldwide. C2 Weapon System Part Task Trainer 4.0 provides critical modeling and simulation capabilities to the warfighter and will exponentially increase training opportunities.
July 08: Gemini to Support Special Forces Language and Culture Seminar
The Special Forces annually conduct a Language and Culture Seminar in which Command Language Program Managers present information about their programs and receive information and training on how to conduct their programs more effectively and more efficiently. Gemini has been awarded a contract to support planning, coordination and execution of the 2008 Seminar and Review to be held in Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
June 08: Gemini Sponsors Fundraiser to Benefit the Saints Medical Center
Gemini sponsored the Jason Varitek Celebrity Putt Putt held 9 June to benefit The Saints Medical Center and Celebrities for Charity. The event, hosted by Boston Red Sox All Star catcher Jason Varitek, included Red Sox players and staff, as well as former players from the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins. The event raised over $65,000.
May 08: Gemini moves into new Corporate Office
On 30 May, Gemini Industries bade farewell to the Billerica, Massachusetts facility that served as its Corporate Office for nine years and moved to Burlington Summit, a 500,000 square foot office park on the highest hilltop in Burlington, Massachusetts. Gemini’s new Corporate Office occupies 10,000 square feet on the 4th floor of the six story building located at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 128/I‑95. The facility features a two-atrium lobby, café, fitness center, and outstanding views. Gemini’s newly renovated space increases our office space by 40% and includes a 1300 square foot boardroom cleared for classified discussions, a 625 square foot conference room with panoramic views of northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, a team/meeting room, and over 20 staff offices. In addition, the space includes an elegant reception area, a well-equipped kitchen, telephone/data and copy/fax/mail rooms, and several storage areas.
“This move marks Gemini’s progression to the next level of operations” said Victoria Bondoc, Gemini President. “The Burlington Summit facilities will strengthen our infrastructure and allow us to better support staff members, customers and business development efforts, as Gemini operations continue to expand.”
April 08: Gemini establishes Alumni Network of former employees
Gemini has established an Alumni Network to allow former employees the opportunity to stay connected to the organization. Any employee leaving the organization can elect to join the Network at no cost. Network members can obtain information on new job openings at Gemini, participate in company raffles and other employee events, and stay updated on Gemini news. The inaugural event will be a raffle off 2 tickets within the State Street Home Plate Pavilion at Fenway Park for the May 19 7 PM Red Sox game.
March 08: Gemini distributes 7% profit sharing for the second straight year
For the past 10 years, Gemini has provided an annual profit sharing distribution to employees to recognize their contribution to the company’s continuing success. For the second straight year, employees received 7% of their gross compensation in profit sharing. “Our success would not be possible without the efforts of each member of the Gemini team.” said Victoria Bondoc, President. “The members of the Gemini team have diligently provided quality support and have consistently focused on the needs of our customers. This has allowed Gemini to grow and prosper.”
Jan 08: Gemini receives ISO 9001:2000 Certification
In January, Gemini received ISO 9001-2000 certification. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification promotes, facilitates and enables consistency and improvements in a process or product. Prior to certification, a comprehensive, rigorous assessment of the company was performed to confirm that Gemini’s processes and organization meet defined standards of quality.
Dec 07: Gemini will expand support to the Intelligence Community under the Solutions for Intelligence Analysis project
Solutions for Intelligence Analysis: Recently, Gemini received word that we are part of a winning team awarded the Solutions for Intelligence Analysis Contract for DIA. The contract provides intelligence, operations/research, security, and science & technology analysis in defense and transnational subjects, areas of interest, and intelligence topics. As a member of the winning team led by BAE Systems, Gemini can compete for intelligence tasks over the next five years.
Sep 07: Gemini expands its customer base to include the USSOCOM Requirements / Joint Programs Division
SOF Capabilities Integration and Development: Gemini began a new project to provide analytical, coordination and management support to the USSOCOM Requirements/Joint Programs Division. Tasks will involve coordination with the Joint Staff to ensure the full spectrum of SOF requirements and capability gaps are adequately addressed in relevant Joint Programs. Tasks also support the Knowledge Management/Decision Support system, and the monitoring of HQ and Component Command Capabilities Based Assessments.
Jun 07: Gemini to support newly formed Marine Special Forces Command
MARSOC: Gemini began its first-ever project supporting the Marines to provide support to the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Commander and his staff on communications training. The work is being accomplished at Camp Lejeune, NC and Camp Pendleton, CA at the Marine Special Operations School (MSOS) and Special Mission Training Branch (SMTB). This project provides the foundation for subsequent training and support requirements within MARSOC including support of training evolutions in the field environment. The effort expands our business base in southern California and in North Carolina.
May 07: Gemini to begin Advisory and Assistance Services to Air Combat Command
CAAS III: Recently, Gemini received word that we are part of a winning team awarded the Contract Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS III) for Air Combat Command. As a member of the winning team led by MacAulay-Brown, Inc., Gemini can compete for acquisition support tasks over the next five years. The contract, valued at over $400 million, provides a range of services, including: Management and Professional Services; Studies, Analyses and Evaluations; and Engineering and Technical Services. Support will be provided at Langley AFB and at other ACC operating locations.
Apr 07: Gemini Honored with Award for Excellence
On the anniversary of the start of operations, Gemini was awarded a 2007 Small Business Administration Award for Excellence in recognition of our outstanding support of urgent capabilities that support the formation of alliances among feuding Afghan warlords, warn the Afghan population to stay away from Taliban and Al Qaeda targets,. Gemini was nominated for the award by USSOCOM as a result of Gemini’s outstanding support to Operation Enduring Freedom, for which we have received five straight Blue (Exceptional) Ratings. This is Gemini’s fourth award from the SBA since 1995.

Apr 07: Gemini awarded AFMC A&AS Contract valued at $800 Million
PASS: Gemini was awarded a Professional Acquisition Support Services (PASS) contract supporting ESC at Hanscom AFB MA and at other locations across the US such as Lackland AFB TX, Langley AFB VA, Peterson AF CO, Gunter AF AL, and Wright Patterson AFB OH. Valued at $800 million, the PASS contract provides a broad range of acquisition services in support of R&D and production activities at ESC, including Acquisition Support, Financial Management (FM), Contracting, Administrative and Human Resources. The contract, which extends through April 2012 continues the work at ESC covered by ITSP II. |
